The main purpose of these parking systems is not to collect a parking fee. They are intended for increasing car park efficiency and for assurance of comfortable parking for building facilities´ customers. Here, an important role belongs to the so called validation of short-term cards. The validation is used to grant a discount for parking fees to supermarket shoppers, a special price list of parking fees to visitors of cinemas, bowling alleys, etc. Validators are located in individual facilities. The system keeps a survey of granted discounts and allows the car park operator to charge individual facilities.
